With everything your raising you might look into rabbits. They do taste like chicken. Then their is picking the breed that works well as a meat rabbit. While we raised them we only had Rex rabbits. Small bone large legs and back strap. Suggest picking one color ie: white. So when you butcher they all look alike. You are what you eat. So only makes sense if you feed your rabbits well they will feed you well. Without supplements the rabbit meat is much better for you than chicken. We gave them one tsp of flax seed a day (it's their icecream) so you need 2 bowls for each cage for food. One for their food and one for treats. The other supplement we gave them is called Calf Manna. One tsp per day. Not much. Less mess when butchering chickens. Don't gut them. Break the neck, the Amish way, then skin just the back legs and remove from the body. Then gently cut the skin along the back bone and remove the back straps on either side of the back bone. There is no meat to speak of on the other parts. Look into it. Just a suggestion. To buy rabbit meat it costs $15 a pound! Standard size not miniature. The white Rex is bigger than the other colors of Rex's by slot. But big meat supplier.
