Will broody hens ADOPT our hatchery chicks?

We don't NEED more chicks... but when Heartland Hatchery comes to our town, we just have to get some more! We went to the local farm store to meet up with Alan Nieder from Heartland Hatchery and got 19 chicks - most importantly some French Black Copper Marans - our favorite dark brown egg layer and 3 Blue Slate turkeys. Not totally sure about the future of our Royal Palm turkeys, so we want to have a backup plan in place.

Prior to picking up some chicks, we worked on planting our mega-garden at Becky's parents house. A large garden lot - about 20' x 100' tilled area that was ready to plant some corn, squash, zucchini, pumpkins, watermelons, and beans.

Lastly, after we brought the chicks home, we were interested in saving on brooder usage and trying to have our broody hens (we have atleast 3 of them wanting to work for us) and have them raise the chicks as if they were their own. The results of this attempt on our next video.
