Pizza & Pizza Crust Recipe
Ingredients for the crust:
· 3 cups - Flour
· 1 tablespoon - Sugar
· 1 teaspoon - Salt
· 1 package (or 2¼ teaspoons) - Yeast
· 3 tablespoons - Olive or Vegetable Oil
· 1 cup - Warm water (120° F)
Ingredients for the pizza:
· Pizza sauce
· Toppings of your choice
Mix 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 package of yeast into a large bowl. Add oil and warm water. With a mixer, mix on medium speed for 3 minutes. Mix in remaining flour (1½ - 2 cups) until dough is soft and pulls off of the side of the bowl. Place dough on lightly floured surface, turn on the movie, "Ghost," and have a romantic moment with your spouse. Knead the dough for 5-8 minutes. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow to rest for 30 minutes.
For thin pizza, bake at 425° for 7-8 minutes. For thick crust, bake at 375° for 20-22 minutes.
Then build your pizza, using pizza sauce, cheese and the toppings of your choice. Then bake in oven again. For thin crust pizza, bake at 425° for 8-10 minutes. For thick crust pizza, bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Enjoy!
